Terms of Service
Last updated: October 25, 2026
The short version
- You pay once and can use Seek on the number of Macs you bought it for.
- Updates are free.
- Seek moves files to the Trash instead of deleting them, but please keep backups of anything important.
- If Seek isn't right for you, you can ask for a refund with proof of purchase (see section 5).
These terms apply when you download, buy or use the Seek Mac app (“Seek”) or our website, useseek.app. Seek is made by Meet Patel (“we”, “us”). By using Seek, you agree to these terms.
1. Your license
When you buy Seek, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it on the number of Macs your plan covers (1, 3 or 5). You can move a license to a new Mac by deactivating it on the old one. The license does not expire.
You may not resell, share or publish license keys, or try to get around the license check.
2. What you can't do
- Copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute Seek, except where the law allows it.
- Use Seek for anything illegal or to access files you don't have permission to access.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown on useseek.app and are one-time payments, not subscriptions. Early-bird prices apply to a limited number of customers and then go up; the price you paid is the price you keep.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which may add sales tax or VAT depending on where you live. Dodo Payments' own terms apply to the payment.
4. Updates
Updates to Seek are free for everyone who bought a license. We may add, change or remove features over time. We aim to keep Seek working on current versions of macOS but can't promise support for every future version.
5. Refunds
If Seek doesn't work for you, email us within 14 days of buying it and we will refund you in full. Refunds are issued through Dodo Payments, and your license is deactivated.
Every refund request needs proper proof. Please include:
- your order number or receipt from Dodo Payments;
- the email address you used to buy Seek;
- a short reason for the refund.
Post about it, get 100% back: if you buy Seek and write a public Reddit post, Reddit comment, tweet or reply about it that reaches 2,000 views (impressions on X), we will refund your purchase in full and you keep your license. The post must include a link to useseek.app. To claim, send us:
- the link to your post and a screenshot of its views;
- proof that the post is yours (for example, a screenshot showing you signed in);
- your order number or receipt and the email address you bought with.
Views must be organic: no bought views, bots or paid promotion. One post has to reach the goal on its own. Each purchase can be refunded only once, for the amount you actually paid. We may decline claims without valid proof, duplicate claims, or posts that are spam, misleading or removed. Every claim is reviewed by a person and that decision is final. Full rules are on the cashback page. We may change or end this offer at any time; claims already sent are handled under the rules at the time.
6. Your files and backups
Seek works with your files. It moves files to the Trash instead of deleting them, and most actions can be undone. Even so, software can have bugs and mistakes happen, so please keep regular backups (for example with Time Machine). We are not responsible for lost or damaged files.
7. Third-party features
Some features rely on macOS and Apple Intelligence, which are provided by Apple under its own terms. Seek may show website names and icons in Downloaded From; those names and logos belong to their owners. Seek is not made by or affiliated with Apple.
8. No warranty
Seek is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that it will be error-free or work without interruption.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim about Seek is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
10. Ending these terms
You can stop using Seek at any time. If you break these terms, we may deactivate your license.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, except where your local consumer law gives you rights that can't be excluded. Any dispute that can't be settled by talking to us will be handled by the courts of India.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for important changes we will let customers know by email. Using Seek after a change means you accept the new terms.
